Our Team
Vivian Wong
Founder & CEO
Vivian is deeply passionate about STEM education, driven by the joy of seeing students experience the wonder and amazement of science. With 20 years of teaching and tutoring experience, she is dedicated to helping students reach their full potential. Vivian holds a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from UC Berkeley and a Master’s degree in Education from UCLA. Through her work in public schools, she has seen firsthand that while talent is abundant, opportunities are not. Vivian is committed to bridging this gap by providing students with the encouragement, resources, and support they need to succeed through this nonprofit organization, empowering the next generation of STEM leaders.
Tripti Shah
STEM Curriculum Specialist
Tripti is an accomplished educator with a Master's degree in Chemistry a Master's degree in Education, along with an Administration credential. With over 20 years of teaching experience in STEM, particularly in AP and Honors Chemistry, she has dedicated her career to inspiring the next generation of scientists. As the site coordinator for the LA County Science and Engineering Fair, Tripti also serves as a judge for its competitions, guiding students in developing innovative science projects. She finds great joy in witnessing the talents, skills, and creativity of young minds as they showcase their ideas in competitions. In her spare time, Tripti enjoys gardening and visiting parks.
Erik Scott
Board Chair
Erik is a real estate professional, with a background in digital marketing. He also holds a degree in Criminal Justice. Passionate about community involvement, Erik dedicates his time to coaching youth football and basketball, where he helps young athletes build confidence, character, and teamwork. He is committed to supporting programs that create opportunities for underrepresented youth. When he’s not working or coaching, Erik enjoys spending quality time with his children.
Evelyn Hinds
Board Vice Chair
Evelyn is a dedicated paraprofessional educator with 29 years of experience supporting children with special needs. Holding a degree in Child Development from National University, she is passionate about addressing creativity and critical thinking in education. Her commitment to the nonprofit’s mission is driven by the desire to ensure all children are given the tools they need to become the best students they can be. Outside of her professional life, Evelyn enjoys running marathons and spending quality time with her family.
Ariana Montano
Board Secretary
Ariana, a dedicated educator with a Psychology degree from San Francisco State University, has years of experience in after-school academic programs. She specializes in hands-on learning, reading, and writing, helping children build confidence and a love for learning. Passionate about inspiring future innovators, she advocates for equal opportunities in STEM. In her free time, she enjoys art, cooking, and caring for her pets.
